WELCOME TO THE CATENIAN ROSARY GROUP

In June 2002 a group of Catenians on an ocean cruise met every day to pray the Holy Rosary and that stimulated discussion on somehow continuing the practice as part of our everyday lives This led to the Catenian Rosary Group being formed in October 2002 - joining the prayers of landlubbers to those on the ocean waves! By December 2010 there are 1081 members and we all pray one decade of the Holy Rosary every day.

The Group is aso involved in collecting spare sets of Rosary Beads and sending them the Australia for the Aboriginals to use and to South Africa for people in Zimbabawe and Zambia.

Membership is open to Brothers, Wives, Family Members and Widows. Widows find it especially helpful as it gives them a connection with their late husband’s Circle.

Obligation of membership: to pray One Decade of the Holy Rosary every day. (One Our Father, Ten Hail Mary’s and One Glory Be). No penalty if the decade is missed. The petition to be for ‘Our Lady’s Intentions’ except in May when it will be for ‘The Catenian Association and Those Taking Office’.
